What is Headless E-commerce?

Headless e-commerce refers to a type of e-commerce architecture where the frontend user interface (the “head”) of the e-commerce platform is decoupled from the backend systems that manage the catalog, inventory, and order management (the “body”).

This allows for greater flexibility and scalability in terms of designing and implementing the user interface, as it can be built using any technology and can be easily integrated with other systems such as mobile apps, voice assistants, and IoT devices.

It also allows for a better separation of concerns, as the backend systems can be optimized for performance and scalability without being constrained by the requirements of the frontend.
